From 1898 until he died, at the age of 91, he was the oldest living Barça player, and also for Espanyol and Murcia. He was mobilized by the Republic and, despite not having a driving licence, he spent the entire war driving a Katiuska truck. He never got behind the wheel of a vehicle again. He coached Catalan teams.
