Popularly known as "Scrap" that comes from the name "flat" as his family was known in the town of Navajas (Alto Palencia) where he originally came from. In 1934 he played a trial match for Barça but they didn't keep him on. He fought for the Republican side in the Civil War and spent time in a prisoner camp in San Sebastián. His name often appears in match reports, erroneously, as Rosalench. He was a coach.
