He fought for the army of the Republic and was sent to a concentration camp. In 1965, surprisingly, the Francoist authorities appointed him mayor of Les Masies de Roda and he carried out the role for 32 years, later being democratically elected. He is known by all as "Quiquet", he hosted the commission that drafted the Statute of Catalonia in the Sau. When he died at the age of 92, he was the oldest player Barça player.
