In 1979 he became the player with the most appearances for Barça. Migueli overtook him in 1986. He was coach of the Catalan team (1993). Known as "the Pedralbes kid" and "Charly", as he was called by Cruyff. The Club paid tribute to him at the Camp Nou on 01/09/81. His only coaching experience abroad was in Japan, besides coaching different Catalan youth teams. First team coach of the professional team to take charge having started as a youth player. He has been connected to the Club in different ways for five and a half decades. Regular commentator and columnist in various football media outlets. One of the four founders of the football school TARR.
