In 1998, sponsored by Josep Maldonado, he set up a Beach football tournement in Comarruga with his name in which he himself played in until the last year of the tournement in 2008. He holds the record for longevity in the Club's Veterans team, as he played up to the age of 78. Due to his humility, kindness and footballing wisdom he was named "el Maestro" by his teammates.
