Calo's brother and uncle of Alberto Rodríguez. He was recommended, without ever having played as a registered player, by the former Barça player Font, who had fought for the Republic and was imprisoned in León. Nicknamed "Wigs" for his baldness. Barça's leading goalscorer in the league and in official competitions until Messi surpassed him. He received two tributes by the club, both at the Les Corts ground. One on 05/03/61 and the other on 10/09/58 playing for Elche, the last thing he did at the old ground. He was player-coach at Elche who went up three divisions to the First Division. He later coached other teams.
